Reporting an error

If you think one of our numbers is wrong, please tell us — and include your working if you can. Send the calculator you used, the inputs you entered, the result you got, and the result you expected. Every report gets checked against the engine's test suite, and confirmed errors get fixed and noted on the methodology page.

Requesting a calculator

We are working through decks and outdoor structures first, then interior trades. If there is a takeoff you keep doing by hand, tell us what it is and what the awkward part is.

Response time

We aim to reply within a few business days. Corrections are prioritised over everything else.

What we cannot help with

We cannot size structural members for your specific project, advise on code compliance in your jurisdiction, or recommend contractors. Those questions belong with your local building department or a licensed professional.
